What’s Õpet (OPET)?

Õpet (OPET) it’s an artificial intelligence (AI) created to support students when they have to pass exams or take important decisions about their school progress. It’s a digital tutor that learns more in every conversation with the student about him, register it in the blockchain and then revise students for their exams. The chatbot will engage students with sophisticated conversation to expand their horizons.

They are bringing the Spotify, Netflix and YouTube recommendation engine to education, an engine that learn and then recommend relevantly the best solutions for that individual student.

Problems in the industry

The problem they want to solve is the global class divide, global inequality is growing day by day and don’t let students access a private tuition because they can’t afford it. According to Citigroup’s Education: Back to Basics3 report, the global education market is approximately US$5 trillion dollars, with the K-12 segment being the largest at near US$3 trillion dollars. The post-secondary segment is valued at US$1.5 trillion dollars. With only 2% of this US$5 trillion global education market currently being digital, the goal of Õpet is to raise this 2% to a higher number.

Provide equal opportunities to all the students through education, making an affordable digital tuition that complements the national curriculum, delivered by the AI chatbot. AI, Machine Learning, and chatbot technologies to recommend relevantly, the tertiary options for the users.

They don’t have yet an MVP ready, or it’s not on the website at the moment, reading the whitepaper we can understand the main functionalities that the chatbot will have:

  • AI intelligence to understand student needs;
  • Data saved securely on the blockchain;
  • Wallet integrated;
  • Psychometric data collected through a quick test.

Competitors and comparisons

Another similar project is developing a decentralized online learning platform by using the AI called LiveEdu,

-Team: The team of Õpetfoundation is a great team, starting from the upstairs we have The CEO with an AI experience, then we have only one blockchain developer, watching LiveEdu’s team, is not a good team at all, there are only 8 people in the team, and no one of them is a blockchain expert, they also not passed a KYC verification on Icobench.

-Idea: The idea is quite innovative if we think of the “plus” machine learning and AI can give against competitor projects; anyway the competition is pretty high, considering the number of online learning platforms.

-MVP: Both don’t have an MVP testable or available on their website even if Õpet has a lot of images of the chat-bot on their whitepaper.

-Supply: Regarding token supply, we have a total supply of 362,983,094 LEDU for LiveEdu platform and 100,000,000 OPET for the Õpetfoundation, we have a less supply (that will decrease over time), I don’t understand that random number for LEDU token, usually projects issue different numbers, why they didn’t issue like 362.000.000 LEDU?

Considerations About What We Have Seen

Well, we have a good project, the team is working well, they have an always updated whitepaper full of information, the problem is real and even if they will be fighting against a lot of competitors, they have something special in the project, it feels like they are trying to differentiate they self to other projects.

The use of proceeding seems well distributed, token allocation also, however, I would allocate more Tokens for the bounties.

The community around the project is huge, they are very active on socials and they have grown a big community.

I have some doubt about the chatbot, at the time many chatbots are not so smart, and you are always forced to talk with a human if you have special needs, I hope they will do a great job on it.
